Overview

The Cyber Defence Directorate of the Newfoundland Armed Forces is dedicated to protecting the Republic’s digital infrastructure, playing a crucial role in national security and public welfare. Its mission is to defend essential government and military networks against cyber threats, ensuring cyber resilience across critical infrastructure. By collaborating with international allies through NATO and other trusted partnerships, the Directorate maintains robust defence strategies and intelligence-sharing capabilities. Leveraging state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive training programs, the Directorate aligns its operations with the Republic of Newfoundland’s strategic defence and security policies. Its responsibilities extend to digital identity management, space-based and terrestrial monitoring, and managing national cloud infrastructure through advanced, policy-governed, AI-enabled solutions.
